I have a new phone and I LOVE it. It's an Audiovox SMT5600 from AT&T Wireless with Windows Media Player 10 Mobile so I can sync all my music, videos and get this- even TV directly to my phone from MP10.  My Media Center 2005 PC automatically records my favorite TV programs and then MP10 takes over, converting the file automatically for playback on my phone.  Now it all syncs to my PMC and my phone.

TV conversion can take a little while, depending upon content, length, device, and speed of your processor.  Don't get me wrong, this isn't a PMC-quality experience. Video isn't quite 30fps but it's definitely watchable in a pinch. Fortunately, MP10 actually starts the conversion process when your PC is idle for 10 minutes (no mouse movement).  Then next time you connect your device, it just copies it over.  Intel P4 Hyperthreaded (HT) processors seem to handle this with ease as the video compression uses both cores to load balance.  Of course, my current system is not hyperthreaded but it works well enough.

In fact, the new Media Library in MP10 Mobile has tabs for each of the experiences - My Music, My Videos, My TV.  Music downloads complete with Album Art- I'm digging this.

My only frustration is that the largest Mini-SD card I can get my hands on right now is a SanDisk 256MB model that always seems to be sold out at my local Best Buy.  Come to think of it, a lot of things always seem sold out.  Too many geeks like myself I guess.

Update: Adam Field points out Expansys now has a 512MB Mini-SD Card for sale :)

Now I need some cool ringtones.  Any suggestions?
