I don't always agree with Chris but this time I tend to. With the disclaimer that the announcement is huge - to enthusiasts willing to spend all that $$ to be able to watch and record HD and subscription cable TV on their PC.

Part of the point is that it's not huge amounts of $$ anymore. I was looking at getting a bare boses CableCARD system before and the *least* amount I could spend was about $2100 to get two tuners. A few days ago I ordered a two tuner system from Dell for less than $1500 with a few upgrades. No it's not as cheap as a TiVo HD, but I feel I'm getting quite a bit more (plus no monthly fees).
